Email-native agent
CC an agent mailbox to log emails, create tasks and draft replies for approval
The email-native agent gives each tenant an agent mailbox that users CC or forward to. It logs emails to records, creates tasks, captures invoices and drafts replies for approval, treating all email content as untrusted.
Work from your inbox
Planned for Wave 3, the email-native agent gives each tenant a mailbox such as assistant@{tenant-domain}. Users CC or forward emails to it. In Year 1 the substitute is Gmail and Microsoft 365 integrations for logging and sending.
What it does
- Logs to records: matches people by their contact points and attaches the thread to CRM or Service Desk records.
- Follows instructions in the email body, such as "create a task for Friday" or "log to deal X".
- Drafts replies and places them in the Approvals Inbox, because sending is an R3 Action.
- Captures invoices and bills for Accounts with an extraction specialist.
- Confirms what it did by replying to the instructing user, and tracks thread state.
Safe by design
Only members, identified by a verified address, can instruct the agent. Mail from external senders is only logged, never acted on. Instructions are parsed by the privileged planner, while email content is read by the quarantined reader, so a malicious email cannot make the agent do something risky. Attachments are stored with malware scanning and classification. The agent never sends as a human.
Delegation
Users can grant the agent scope to act for them on certain senders or topics. Per-tenant instruction templates and allowed skills are planned for Wave 4.
Mailbox provisioning supports One3 or tenant domains with MX or forwarding and SPF, DKIM and DMARC. The module is included; AI credits are metered.
How it fits
The agent writes only through the owning app's Actions: task creation through Work, logging through CRM or Service Desk, and sends through the normal email Action at R3.
