Industry Edition · I-14

Prescriptions, expiry alerts and refill reminders, with the pharmacist always deciding.

The Pharmacy Retail Edition is planned for chemists and pharmacy chains. It covers billing, prescription capture, substitution suggestions for the pharmacist, expiry alerts, refill reminders and loyalty.

Planned · Year 3 (W4)

A pharmacy counter is busy, regulated and personal. Pharmacists must check prescriptions, manage expiring stock and keep records, while customers expect quick service and reminders. The Pharmacy Retail Edition is designed to support that work without taking decisions away from the pharmacist.

How the work runs

  • Billing. POS handles counter sales, discounts and returns, and keeps working offline. Tax Engine applies GST to every bill.
  • Prescriptions. Prescriptions are captured as images or entries against the customer and linked to the sale. Scheduled drugs need a prescription record before they can be billed.
  • Substitution suggestions. When a brand is out of stock, the system can suggest equivalent products in stock. The pharmacist decides whether to offer a substitute.
  • Stock and expiry. Inventory & Warehouse tracks stock by batch and expiry, and sends alerts before items expire.
  • Refill reminders. Customers on regular medicines get refill reminders on the WhatsApp channel, with their consent.
  • Loyalty. Loyalty & Referrals rewards repeat customers across branches.

Digital Employees

An AI Store Operations Assistant prepares shelf-gap and expiry lists for the shift. An AI Inventory Replenishment Specialist drafts reorder proposals from sales and stock. An AI Email & WhatsApp Campaign Specialist sends refill reminders and offers to consenting customers. None of them dispense, advise on medicines or approve substitutions. They work for your pharmacists under supervision.

Compliance

Prescription-drug dispensing rules, scheduled drug registers and pharmacist records apply. The Edition is designed to keep these records on file. These are pointers to confirm with counsel and the drug control authority.

Frequently asked questions

Is the Pharmacy Retail Edition available today?

Not yet. The Pharmacy Retail Edition is planned for wave W4. Each Industry Edition needs three signed design partners in that industry, a named domain expert and counsel sign-off before it is built.

Does the system choose substitutes?

No. It can suggest equivalent products in stock, but the pharmacist decides what to offer.

Are refill reminders allowed?

Reminders are sent only to customers who have consented, and consent records gate every message. Verify with counsel.
