The Manufacturing Edition is planned for small and mid-sized manufacturers. It joins BOM and routing, OEE, quality checks, maintenance and the dealer network, using machine data from IoT Hub and AI agents for scheduling and quality.
Manufacturers need production, stock, purchasing, quality and maintenance to agree on the same numbers. In many plants they do not: the planner, the stores and the maintenance team each keep their own sheet. The Manufacturing Edition is designed to fix that with one item master and one event log.
How the work runs
- BOM and routing. Manufacturing & Quality holds bills of materials, routings and work centres. Manufacturing orders consume stock and produce finished goods in Inventory & Warehouse.
- Purchasing. Procurement raises requisitions and purchase orders from material shortages, with goods receipts matched to vendor bills.
- Quality. Quality checks are recorded at each stage. Non-conformances (NCRs) are logged with root cause and corrective action.
- Machines and OEE. IoT Hub collects machine signals. OEE is computed from availability, performance and quality. Assets & Maintenance plans preventive work orders from meter readings and alerts.
- Dealer network. Dealers see order status, schemes and claims through a portal, and dealer orders flow into production planning.
Digital Employees
An AI Production Scheduler proposes schedules and checks material availability. An AI Quality Control Assistant prepares inspection checklists, studies defect trends and drafts NCRs. An AI Maintenance Planner creates work orders from meter and IoT signals. An AI Dealer Network Coordinator answers dealer queries about orders, schemes and claims. Each works for the plant team under supervision. Schedules and quality releases are approved by people.
Compliance
BIS and quality standards, factory and EHS rules, GST and e-way bills apply. The Edition is designed to record evidence for each, as pointers to confirm with counsel and auditors.

Is the Manufacturing Edition available today?
Not yet. The Manufacturing Edition is planned for wave W5. Each Industry Edition needs three signed design partners in that industry, a named domain expert and counsel sign-off before it is built.
Do we need IoT sensors to start?
No. Production, stock, quality and maintenance can run on manual entries. IoT Hub adds machine signals and OEE when you are ready.
Can dealers place orders directly?
The plan includes a dealer portal for orders, schemes and claims, linked to the same order book.
