Operations & Supply · App 10
Every channel, one order book, with the shop still open offline
Online Store and POS share one Order, one Item master and one returns process, with GST, UPI and ONDC planned in the core. Planned for W4.
One catalogue, one stock position and one order book for every place a business sells: its own website, its shops and restaurants, WhatsApp, ONDC and marketplaces. Digital Employees run the routine order, catalogue, returns and reconciliation work under value-based approval gates, and every result is measured in the tenant's own ROI ledger. CRM and Marketing create demand, Operations holds and moves the stock, and Finance issues tax documents and collects money; Commerce turns demand into orders and hands every order to fulfilment, tax, payment and loyalty without re-keying.
One Order, whatever the channel
Many Indian merchants join three to five products to sell across a website, shops, WhatsApp and marketplaces. In One3 Commerce, a web checkout, a POS bill, a WhatsApp order, an ONDC order and a marketplace order are all rows of the same Order entity, with a channel attribute, one status model, one fulfilment model and one returns process. This shared Order Book is included with whichever Commerce module you subscribe to, so a POS-only shop still writes real orders and can add an online store later without re-importing anything.
Commerce has two modules:
- Online Store — storefront, catalogue and listings, pricing and promotions, cart and checkout, shopper accounts, shipping, and channels including WhatsApp, ONDC, marketplaces, quick commerce and food aggregators.
- POS — registers, fast billing, split tenders including UPI, returns and exchanges, shift and cash control, omnichannel tasks at the outlet, and a restaurant mode with tables, KOTs and kitchen display.
The shop keeps selling when the internet does not
POS is offline-first. Sales, receipts, returns and shift closes are designed to work without connectivity and sync later under explicit conflict rules through Edge Sync. Each register holds its outlet catalogue, prices, promotions, tax rules and a pre-allocated block of receipt numbers. The planned gate before release is an 8-hour offline test with 5,000 sales synced without loss or duplication.
Money-moving changes are governed Actions
Refunds, price changes, discounts above a limit, stock write-offs, cancellations and outbound messages run through the One3 Action Bus with a risk tier, a reversibility class and delegation-of-authority limits. Cashiers, managers, integrations and rented Digital Employees all call the same Actions. Refunds, cash payouts, stored-value adjustments and variance write-offs are R4 and always need a person. No agent ever completes a sale, processes a return or moves cash.
India commerce compliance in the product
GST-correct receipts and invoices, e-invoice IRN and e-way bill through the shared Tax Engine, UPI through licensed partners in Payments Hub, ONDC seller participation through a registered participant, Legal Metrology and e-commerce disclosure fields, FSSAI details and DPDP consent are planned as product features. Every rule is recorded in the Fact Register and must be verified before release.
How it fits with the rest of One3
Stock is reserved and consumed in Operations Inventory. Tax and payments are owned by Finance. Loyalty points accrue in Marketing's Loyalty module. Advanced pricing comes from CRM & Sales. Outcomes such as recovered carts, closed settlement variances and stock-outs avoided are written to the Investment & ROI Ledger against your own baseline, never presented as benchmarks. Migration Factory adapters are planned for Shopify, Ginesys, GoFrugal, Petpooja, Zoho and spreadsheets, including loyalty and voucher balances.
Problems solved
What Commerce fixes
Too many disconnected tools
Storefront, POS, marketplace OMS, WhatsApp tool and accounting are separate products, so stock, prices and customers drift and orders are re-keyed. Commerce plans one Order entity and one Item master, with stock reserved in Inventory at order time.
Billing stops when the internet drops
Stores in tier-2 and tier-3 towns lose sales or bill on paper, and later sync creates duplicates or negative stock. Offline-first POS uses local data, pre-allocated receipt numbers, idempotent queued Actions and a visible conflict review queue.
WhatsApp orders sit outside the order book
Customers want to order, pay and track on WhatsApp. Catalogue, cart, UPI payment link, status updates and returns on WhatsApp are designed to write to the same Order, with consent and template rules enforced.
ONDC and marketplaces need separate handling
Channel listings are generated from the same products and stock, channel orders enter one order book, and settlements are matched to orders with variance queues.
GST, IRN and e-way bills done in another tool
Tax determination per line through the Tax Engine, with B2B IRN and e-way bills requested from the order or transfer and rules held in the Fact Register.
Refunds, discounts and voids leak money
Cashier limits, supervisor approvals by value, reason codes, a second factor for cash refunds, blind shift close with variance reasons and exception reports.
BOPIS and return-anywhere promised but not supported
Order routing to a fulfilling outlet, pickup readiness notifications and returns accepted at any outlet against the original order, with channel rules applied.
Restaurants juggle billing, KOTs and aggregator tablets
Restaurant mode on the same POS: tables, KOTs, kitchen display, QR ordering and aggregator orders in the same order book, with recipe-based stock consumption.
Key capabilities
What you can do
One omnichannel order book
Web, POS, WhatsApp, ONDC, marketplace, quick-commerce and aggregator orders share one Order with separate order, payment and fulfilment statuses.
Offline-first POS
Local catalogue, prices, tax rules and receipt number blocks, with an idempotent Action outbox and declared conflict rules.
WhatsApp commerce
Catalogue sync, cart in chat, UPI payment link, order status and returns, all written to the same order book.
ONDC and marketplace channels
Listings, order intake, inventory and price sync, with channel SLA timers and settlement reconciliation.
GST receipts, IRN and e-way bill
Line-level tax from the Tax Engine, B2B invoices with IRN and e-way bills for ship-from-store and transfers (rules to verify).
Approval gates on money
Value-based limits for discounts, price changes, refunds and cancellations, with supervisor PIN or remote approval.
Restaurant mode

Measured Digital Employees
Order desk, returns, reconciliation, catalogue and cart recovery roles start in shadow mode and report outcomes against holdouts.
Modules
2 modules, one data model
Core modules come with the app. Add-ons switch on when you need them. Some modules can be bought on their own.

Security & compliance
Built to be trusted
No card data in One3
Card capture is partner-hosted or tokenised and terminals run through payment partners. UPI VPAs are not stored, and gift card codes are kept only as keyed hashes.
Governed money and legal Actions
Every money-moving or legal Action is R3 or R4 with approvals; receipts and ledgers are immutable in the database and every Action is audited.
Paired registers and signed sync
Registers are paired to one device at a time with device keys, signed sync batches, remote unpair and wipe, and offline limits enforced locally and re-checked on sync.
Consent per purpose
Marketing consents for email and WhatsApp are separate and unticked by default, recorded in the platform consent ledger, with shopper self-service for access and erasure requests (DPDP details to be verified).
Agents kept off the counter
Agents never act on register, cash, refund, stored-value adjustment or write-off Actions, and shopper messages are read by a quarantined reader so they can only create proposals.
Tenant isolation
Row-level security on every Commerce table, tenant taken from the token only, plus an RLS leak suite, SoD tests and a penetration test before GA.

Frequently asked questions
When will Commerce be available?
Commerce is planned for Year 3 (W4). The PI-5 MVP covers offline-first POS and the Online Store with Order Book and ONDC; GA adds themes, WhatsApp commerce end to end, marketplace connectors, restaurant mode and BOPIS. Waves are earliest eligible, gated on readiness.
Can I start with only POS?
Yes. POS and Online Store can each be bought standalone. The shared Order Book is included with either, so you can add the other module later without re-importing data.
Does POS work without internet?
It is designed to. Sales, receipts, returns and shift closes work offline and sync later with conflict rules. Some operations, such as large refunds, have offline limits.
Do I need Operations Inventory?
Not to start. Without it, Commerce includes a single-location stock and reservation ledger. Multi-location stock, bins and batches come from Operations Inventory.
Will an AI agent issue refunds?
No. Refunds, cash payouts, stored-value adjustments and variance write-offs are always approved by a person. Agents can prepare proposals.
Is ONDC included?
ONDC seller participation is planned through a registered seller-side participant or technology service provider. The participation path must be verified before production traffic is enabled.
Do Digital Employees replace my store staff?
No. They work for your team on routine back-office work such as order exceptions, catalogue drafts and reconciliation, under named human owners and approval limits.
