Notifications

One notification centre for every app, agent and platform event

Planned · Year 1 (W0)Sold as: IncludedInside the Year-1 boundaryC-8

Notifications delivers every alert from every app through in-app, email, web push, WhatsApp, Slack and Teams. It respects preferences, consent, quiet hours and permissions, and never leaks data beyond the recipient.

One service for every event

Notifications is the single delivery service for One3. An event subscription leads to recipient resolution, a permission filter, template rendering and channel delivery with status tracking. Because rendering happens under the recipient's permissions at send time, a notification never shows a field the recipient could not open.

Channels

The in-app notification centre has an unread badge, filters by app, mark-as-read and deep links to the object. Email goes out with the tenant's or partner's sender name, with bounce and complaint handling. Slack and Microsoft Teams delivery, planned for Wave 1, is the Year-1 substitute for a chat app: actionable links, no data beyond a summary. Wave 2 adds web push for the PWA, WhatsApp utility templates with an opt-in check, approvals via WhatsApp, and SMS with DLT templates (to verify). Native mobile push and voice alerts for critical incidents follow in Wave 3.

Preferences and rules

Users set preferences per app, module, event type and channel. Some classes cannot be muted: security, billing state, deletion, kill switch and approval expiry. Tenants set default and required channels per event and escalation chains. Quiet hours apply per user and workspace, with an override for critical classes.

Less noise

Daily and weekly digests and smart batching are planned for Wave 2, with an AI summary of low-priority items. A delivery log with retries and a dead-letter queue shows queued, sent, delivered and read status where the provider supports it. White-label email domains are verified with SPF, DKIM and DMARC. Notification analytics with fatigue detection are planned for Wave 3.

Frequently asked questions

Can notifications leak private data to Slack or WhatsApp?

Content is rendered under the recipient's permissions, and restricted fields are never sent to external channels. Slack and Teams receive only a summary and a link.

Can users mute everything?

Users control most notifications, but security, billing state, deletion, kill switch and approval expiry notices cannot be muted.

Are WhatsApp and SMS notifications charged?

Notifications are included, but outbound WhatsApp and SMS messages carry usage meters because providers charge per message.
