Industry Edition · I-33
Matters, court dates, billable hours, conflict checks and research memos with citations.
The Law Firm Edition is planned for law firms and legal practices. It covers matters, a court-date calendar from public data where available, billable hours, conflict checks, legal holds and research memos with citations. Legal conclusions remain with advocates.
Law firms run on deadlines, documents and billable time. Missing a court date or a conflict check carries serious risk. The Law Firm Edition is designed to keep each matter, its documents, dates and time on one record, with lawyers making every legal judgement.
How the work runs
- Matters. Contracts (CLM) holds matters, clients, counterparties and documents. Conflict checks run against existing clients and parties before a matter is opened.
- Court-date calendar. Calendar & Booking tracks hearings and deadlines, using public court data where available, with reminders to the team.
- Billable hours. Timesheets & PSA records time against matters with bill rates. Billing & Invoicing raises invoices from approved time and fixed fees.
- Legal hold and discovery. eDiscovery & Legal Hold places holds on relevant mail, chats and files and collects review sets.
- Knowledge. Knowledge holds precedents, templates and past research with permissions, so lawyers find prior work without exposing other clients' data.
- Research memos. Research memos are drafted with citations to sources, for a lawyer to verify.
Digital Employees (advisory)
An AI Litigation & Matter Assistant organises matter timelines, indexes documents and sends deadline alerts. An AI Contract Review Assistant flags clauses against the firm's playbook. An AI Contract Drafter assembles first drafts from approved templates. An AI Meeting Scribe captures action items. Legal conclusions from these roles are advisory; advocates decide. They work under supervision with strict matter-level permissions.
Compliance
Professional conduct and advertising rules for advocates and client confidentiality apply. These are pointers to confirm with counsel and the relevant bar council.
