How it works · Flow F8

From transactions to a signed-off close and a board pack

Invoices, bills, bank feeds, payroll and expenses are categorised, reconciled, adjusted and closed. Variance is explained and filings are signed off by a human accountant.

What the Record to report flow does

Record to Report is the month-end close.

Transactions flow in from invoices, bills, bank feeds, payroll and expenses. An agent auto-categorises them, starting at A2 and moving to A3 when earned. Bank and GST reconciliation run. Accruals and adjustments are drafted at A2 for an accountant to approve. The trial balance is produced and a close checklist is tracked as a project.

The P&L, balance sheet and cash flow follow. The FP&A agent drafts variance explanations. A board pack is assembled in Slides. Filings go out only with a human accountant's sign-off (R4).

Billing & Invoicing lite and Accounts lite are in Year 1. Full Accounts, FP&A and filings are W3–W4.

Every step on this page is an Action: a typed verb with a risk tier (R0 read-only to R4 irreversible or financial), a permission check and a reversibility class. Agents and humans call the same Actions, so the same approval rules apply whether a person clicks a button or a Digital Employee acts.

Questions about this flow

Can an agent file returns?

No. Filings are R4 and need a human accountant's sign-off.

How does auto-categorisation earn trust?

It starts at A2, where a human approves each suggestion, and moves to A3 only after measured accuracy and a minimum Eval Coverage Score.

Does One3 replace our accountant?

No. Agents work for your finance team under supervision. Statutory correctness stays with a qualified human.

Can we import from Tally?

A Tally migration path is planned with Accounts in Year 2. Access methods are verify items.

When is this flow planned?

Partly in Year 1 through Billing lite; the full close is W3–W4.
