Spend Analytics

See all spend by supplier and category, find savings and track what you realise

Planned · Year 3 (W4)Sold as: Add-onC-116

Spend Analytics is a planned W4 add-on that builds a spend cube across PO, non-PO, card and expense spend, normalises suppliers and classifies lines. It surfaces savings opportunities labelled as estimates and tracks realised savings.

One view of where money goes

Spend sits in purchase orders, vendor bills without POs, corporate card transactions and expense claims. Spend Analytics, planned for Year 3 (W4), brings them into a spend cube by supplier, category, entity, department, period and channel.

Clean suppliers, clean categories

The same supplier often appears under several names. Supplier normalisation groups variants by GSTIN, PAN, name similarity and a bank-account hash, and proposes merges that a human confirms; merges are reversible. Lines are classified against a tenant taxonomy (a default template is provided, with optional mapping to a public standard, verify licence). AI classifies each line with a confidence score, sends low-confidence lines to a review queue and learns from corrections.

Savings and compliance

The module looks for price variance for the same item across suppliers, supplier fragmentation, tail spend, contract leakage and payment-terms opportunities. Savings figures are labelled as estimates with their method shown. Compliance views show non-PO spend, spend with non-approved vendors, and split purchases just below approval thresholds; these are review prompts, never accusations. At GA, MSME views show spend with MSME-registered vendors and payment timeliness to micro and small enterprises.

Each opportunity can be assigned an owner and an action, such as an RFQ in Procurement or a renegotiation task, and realised savings are tracked against a baseline. Price benchmarks across tenants are not planned; any cross-tenant use would need explicit consent and aggregation rules.
