Accounts
Double-entry books for India, with bank reconciliation, GST and TDS data and close
Accounts is the planned general ledger that every other One3 app posts into, with Indian voucher types, payables, bank and settlement reconciliation, GST and TDS data and period close. The catalog makes it eligible from W2, but the build is planned for Year 2 (W3 H1).
The ledger every app posts into
Accounts keeps a book per legal entity (PAN), in INR with an April to March financial year by default, and one or more GSTIN registrations and branches. A posting engine maps source events (invoices, credit notes, payments, vendor bills, payroll runs, expense claims, gateway settlements and card transactions) to journal lines through versioned posting rules. Postings are idempotent and respect period locks, so the same event never posts twice and closed periods stay closed.
The chart of accounts starts from templates aligned to Schedule III for companies, with variants for LLPs, partnerships and proprietorships (verify templates with your CA). Dimensions such as branch, GSTIN, department, project, cost centre and workspace can be made mandatory per account.
Built for accountants who know Tally
Sales, purchase, receipt, payment, contra, journal, debit note and credit note vouchers appear as views over journals, and voucher entry is keyboard-first. A guided Tally migration through the Migration Factory imports masters, groups, ledgers, opening balances, vouchers and GST registrations, runs a dry run, produces a reconciliation report and a parallel-run report that your CA signs off.
Payables, banks and tax data
Vendor bills arrive by upload, email or WhatsApp and are extracted, de-duplicated and coded. Payment runs propose due bills with TDS deduction and need R4 approval before a bank file is exported. Bank statements import as files or arrive through bank APIs or Account Aggregator with consent (verify route). Reconciliation handles one-to-many matches, create-and-match for fees and interest, and gateway settlements split into gross, fee, tax on fee, refunds and net.
On tax, Accounts keeps an input tax credit ledger, prepares GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B data, imports GSTR-2B and matches it to bills, supports the IMS workflow (verify), and handles TDS on payables and TCS. Filing is always a human R4 step.
Close and audit
A close checklist, sub-ledger cut-off, period and FY locks and year-end entries produce the trial balance, ledger, day book, P&L, Schedule III balance sheet and cash flow. A non-disableable edit log records every change. Auditors get a time-boxed role and export packs, and CA firms get a multi-client practice console.

Frequently asked questions
When is Accounts planned?
The catalog makes it eligible from W2, but the Year-1 boundary excludes a ledger. Accounts full v1 is planned for Year 2 (W3 H1).
Can an agent post journals or pay vendors?
Agents can draft and suggest. Payment runs are R4 and need a human approver who did not prepare the run.
Does it produce Schedule III statements?
Yes, a Schedule III format balance sheet is planned alongside P&L, cash flow and trial balance. Verify templates with your CA.
Can the edit log be turned off?
No. It is planned as a database-level audit trail that the application cannot disable (verify Companies Act scope).
Will it work for a CA firm?
A CA practice console is planned with a multi-client list, status per client and bulk review queues.
