Industry Edition · I-29

Editorial calendar, rights, contributor payments, ad sales and subscriptions.

The Media & Publishing Edition is planned for publishers and media houses. It covers the editorial calendar, rights and licensing, contributor payments, ad inventory sales, video production and reader community and subscriptions.

Planned · Years 4–5 (W5)

Publishers juggle stories, video, rights, contributors, advertisers and readers, often in separate tools. When rights, payments and ad sales are disconnected from the content itself, money and time leak at every step. The Media & Publishing Edition is designed to run editorial, commercial and audience work on one shared model.

How the work runs

  • Editorial calendar. Content Hub holds briefs, drafts, versions and channel variants for every story, scheduled on an editorial calendar.
  • Video. Video Factory produces short videos from scripts and briefs, with provenance metadata on generated media.
  • Rights and licensing. Contracts (CLM) stores contributor agreements and syndication licences. Each asset carries rights metadata, so teams know where it can be used and until when.
  • Contributor payments. Contributions are logged against agreements and paid through Billing & Invoicing and Accounts.
  • Ad inventory sales. Ads tracks ad campaigns and inventory. Advertisers are invoiced in Billing & Invoicing.
  • Subscriptions. Billing & Invoicing manages reader subscriptions and renewals.
  • Community. Community hosts reader discussions with moderation.

Digital Employees

An AI Content Writer drafts and repurposes content from briefs for editors to review. An AI Copy Editor checks style and flags claims. An AI Video Producer turns scripts into short videos. An AI Community Moderator keeps discussions safe. An AI Brand Guardian checks outgoing assets against policy. They work for editors under supervision. Publishing decisions stay with the editorial team.

Compliance

Copyright, the IT Rules for digital media and publishers and advertising codes apply. AI-generated media carries disclosure and provenance. These are pointers to confirm with counsel.
