Data Marketplace
Licensed data products with lineage, quality scores and enforced usage terms
Data Marketplace is a long-term planned partner service in the One3 Ecosystem Marketplace. Providers publish data products with lineage, quality and licence terms; subscribers receive them as datasets with purpose tags and export restrictions.
A partner service, not a tenant app
Data Marketplace is planned for W6 as a partner service that runs through the One3 Ecosystem Marketplace with revenue share. The catalog lists it as a partner service rather than a module add-on.
Data products with evidence
Providers define data products from Data Fabric datasets with schema, lineage, quality score and refresh cadence. Listings show a description, licence terms, usage restrictions, a pricing model set by the provider under Marketplace rules, and sample previews built from synthetic data rather than real records.
Trust before listing
Providers are verified and attest to their legal basis, and listings go through the Marketplace Trust Standard review. Subscribers can leave ratings and quality reports.
Subscriptions that stay governed
Subscriptions carry access grants, expiry and revocation, and data is delivered as datasets into the subscriber's tenant. Licence enforcement attaches purpose tags to delivered datasets and applies export restrictions. A takedown and revocation workflow notifies subscribers. Usage is metered and revenue share is paid through Ecosystem Marketplace payouts. No agent can accept a data licence; that is an R4 human decision. Licence enforcement is still partly specified in the plan.
How it fits
The Marketplace builds on several Intelligence modules. Data Fabric defines the datasets behind each product, Data Catalog & Governance supplies purpose tags and policies, and Synthetic Data Studio produces the previews. On the subscriber side, delivered datasets appear in the tenant like any other dataset, with lineage back to the listing, so they can be used in BI Studio metrics and dashboards within the licence terms. Agents can search listings to suggest a data product, but a person always decides whether to subscribe.
