Complexity Budget
A cap on how many core infrastructure systems One3 runs in production in its early waves.
The Complexity Budget limits production infrastructure in W0–W1 to at most six core systems: PostgreSQL with pgvector, Valkey, Temporal, NATS JetStream, an identity provider and an observability backend. Object storage and cloud primitives don't count.
Anything else needs an architecture decision record showing a measured need and passing an admission checklist. The aim is to keep a small team's operational burden low enough to ship and run a reliable product. The build machine may run more components for experiments; the budget protects production.
