Frontline Worker App

Tasks, checklists and notices by voice, photo or WhatsApp, in the worker's language

Planned · Year 3 (W4)Sold as: Add-onC-160

The Frontline Worker App is planned to give deskless and contract workers one simple way to do their shift's work. Failed items and reported issues become tasks in Facilities, Field Service, EHS or Service Desk through Actions.

What it does

The Frontline Worker App gives store staff, guards, cleaners, pickers and contract workers one screen for today's shift: tasks, checklists, notices and issue reports. It is voice-first in Indian languages, works from photos, runs offline through Edge Sync, and has a WhatsApp mode that needs no app install. A shared-device mode lets a team use one tablet with PIN or QR badge sign-in.

Checklists with evidence

Templates support yes/no, numeric with range, choice, photo, multi-photo, signature, barcode or QR, voice note and temperature items, with scoring, conditional logic and approved versions. Runs are scheduled per site, shift, asset or zone. AI checks photos against the requirement ('fryer area clean', 'shelf faced') with a confidence and reason; low-confidence results go to a human and a sample of passes is reviewed. Agents may not mark failed food-safety or safety-critical items as passed. A failed or out-of-range item creates a corrective task with owner, due time and escalation.

Issues routed to the right owner

A worker reports a problem by voice or photo. AI proposes the category, site and asset; routing rules send it to a Facilities request, an Assets work order, an EHS observation or a Service Desk ticket through that app's Actions. If no owning app is subscribed, it becomes a task for the supervisor.

Proving briefings happened

Notices for SOP changes or safety briefings carry mandatory acknowledgement, read-aloud and an optional two-question check, delivered in-app and as WhatsApp templates, with reminders and a coverage report at the deadline.

Built for people, not surveillance

No automated disciplinary, pay or rating decision uses frontline data. Clock events are proposals to Attendance & Leave. Selfie capture is off by default and face match is not offered by default. Anonymous pulse results are shown only for groups of at least five. Pricing is under evaluation per active site or worker-month rather than named seats.

AI

AI skills and Digital Employees

Photo verification

Checks photos against the requirement; critical items always stay with a human.

Issue triage

Proposes category, site and asset from voice or photo and detects duplicates of open issues on the same asset.

Shift handover structuring

Converts a voice handover into open issues, stock notes and incidents with citations to the transcript.

WhatsApp reply handling

Parses free-text replies, attaches photos to the right item and handles opt-out immediately.

Overdue chasing

Nudges assignees, proposes reassignment inside the site and shift, and escalates per template rules.

Frontline Copilot

Answers from SOPs with citations in the worker's language and refuses outside scope.

Digital Employees that use this module

They act through the same governed Actions as people; risky steps wait for approval.

Frequently asked questions

Do workers need to install an app?

No. WhatsApp mode handles tasks, checklist runs, acknowledgements and issue reports without an install, and shared-device mode supports a team tablet.

Which languages are supported?

Voice-first interaction in Indian languages is planned; the launch language list is set in the module's Capability Brief before build.

Will checklist results be used to discipline staff?

No. No automated disciplinary, pay or rating decision uses frontline data. Results are signals for supervisors.

How is it priced for contract workers?

This is an open decision. Options include a frontline light seat, per active worker-month, per active site with unlimited workers, or WhatsApp-only participants counted through message meters. No prices are set.
