Documents & Reports generates branded PDF and DOCX documents, proposals and scheduled reports from One3 records using versioned templates. Every generated document is tamper-evident and sending is previewed.
What it does
Documents & Reports is a Build add-on. The catalog lists it as W2-eligible; the plan schedules it for Year 2 H1, with fixed client report and Investment Statement templates as the Year-1 substitute. It turns record data into quotes, proposals, offer letters, NDAs, client reports and statements.
Templates
A block template editor supports headings, text, tables, images, page breaks, headers and footers, with merge fields picked only from object schemas the user can read. Teams can also upload DOCX templates with merge tags and get a validation report of unknown tags. Merge formatting handles INR with lakh and crore grouping and amount in words, other currencies, dates, numbers and Indic scripts. Repeating sections render line items from related records, and conditional blocks follow expressions. Templates are versioned, and legal or financial templates require review before publishing.
Generating and sending
Documents are generated from a record view or as an Automations step, stored as files linked to the record, numbered from a sequence, branded with letterhead and watermarked DRAFT before approval. Sending by email, WhatsApp or portal is an R3 Action with a rendered preview. Bulk generation mail-merges over a list with throttled delivery and approval above a batch size. Tamper evidence stores a SHA-256 hash, template version, data snapshot time and generator; regenerating creates a new version and never overwrites.
Proposals and reports
Interactive proposals offer web sections, pricing tables from Quote, optional items, view tracking and accept or decline with comments. A Sign handoff sends documents for signature through One3 Sign. Scheduled reports render dashboard metric snapshots on a schedule, such as a monthly agency client report. AI drafting writes proposal narrative and report commentary with citations and data-quality warnings. GST invoice and credit-note layouts render Billing data, with mandatory fields checked against a CA-reviewed checklist (verify). Word and Google Docs conversion, per-recipient language and retention with legal hold complete it.

Frequently asked questions
When will Documents & Reports be available?
It is outside Year 1. The plan schedules it for Year 2 H1; Year 1 has fixed client report and Investment Statement templates.
Can a generated document be changed later?
Regenerating creates a new version. Each document stores a hash, template version and data snapshot time, so nothing is overwritten.
Can an agent send a proposal?
Agents can generate. Sending is an R3 Action with a rendered preview and approval.
